Three generations of Bartells have headed the company, which is still privately held. The nation’s oldest drug store chain, the company has 58 retail stores, all located in Puget Sound neighborhoods. Henbart started operation in 1922, and thereafter acquired the Third & Pine Property in Seattle. Since then the firm has gone on to acquire and develop other successful commercial properties in the Seattle area. Following the same basic principles of conducting business as its parent company, Henbart has built its reputation on strong asset management and customer service.
